About MuchSearch

MuchSearch is a free multi-search start page: you type a keyword once and open the same query on Google, Bing, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Amazon, GitHub, Google Scholar and about a hundred other sites. It does not host search results — each search runs on the destination site itself.

Who runs it

MuchSearch is built and maintained by Jiangda, its CEO — an independent developer who previously worked in urban planning and urban research. No parent company, no venture funding, no editorial board: just someone who searches all day and got tired of retyping the same query into five tabs.

That background shapes the guides more than you might expect. Urban planning is a field where you routinely cross official statistics, academic papers, local news and procurement documents — four different search systems, four different vocabularies. MuchSearch and the workflows on this site came out of doing that by hand for years.

You can reach Jiangda directly at [email protected]. Broken redirects, wrong search URLs and site suggestions are all welcome; most messages get a reply within a few working days.

How it works

Every card on the site is a plain HTML form. Submitting one sends your keyword to /go.php, which checks that the destination is on a fixed whitelist, cleans the keyword (control characters removed, whitespace folded, 50-character cap) and issues a 302 redirect to that site's own search URL with your query pre-filled.

That design has two consequences worth understanding:

  • MuchSearch cannot be used as an open redirect. Only the destinations listed in our site table are honoured, so a MuchSearch link can never be repurposed to land on a phishing page.
  • Your results never pass through us. The redirect hands you to the real site, with its own ranking, filters and login state. We never see, store or re-rank the results page.

How the guides are written

The guides are written in-house. Each one starts from a real workflow — a literature search, a price comparison, a debugging session — rather than from a keyword list. Where a claim is checkable we link the primary source; where a number is an estimate we say so instead of presenting it as fact.

Articles show a published date and an update date. When something changes materially — a site's URL pattern, a pricing structure, a tool that shuts down — we update the article and change the date rather than quietly editing the text.

How it is funded

MuchSearch is currently self-funded. The site shows no advertising and adds no affiliate parameters to the redirects it issues. If that changes, this page and the privacy policy will be updated before any ads or affiliate links appear, and sponsored placement will be labelled as such.

Trademarks and affiliation

Google, Bing, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Amazon, GitHub and every other name on this site are trademarks of their respective owners. MuchSearch is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of them; we simply link to their public search pages.
